I almost wanted to ignore that that happened! Travis and Bay were okay, but that's kinda why I didn't like them, I wanted more of something. Plus, I knew the writing was just what screwed them up. I still kinda wanted them to end up together though, because I did think their characters made a lot of sense together and had great chemistry. The show definitely went off the rails a bit though by this season and way too much drama with Bay and Emmett. It gave me so much insight to the deaf community too, which I loved. That was so nice, and sadly, not something that you'd see in everyday life, because people don't understand. My younger sister has Down syndrome and I was tearing up with Toby helping that guy who had Down syndrome tonight. It advocated for those with disabilities and that's an area that I feel like always needs exposure and support. I absolutely loved this show back when it started. Stopping myself before this gets worse and because it's late haha (What happened to Chris? Did he get his deal?) Maybe because this season was so intense with such current problems, that wrapping up so quickly just fell flat. I liked that they connected the pilot to the finale throughout it, especially the ending shot, but I feel like there's so much more for these characters that they just wrapped it up too quickly. Why would his results be paper clipped to Bay's results? Makes absolutely NO sense to me when it seems to be a communal box that everyone throws crap in. John knowing and doing the DNA test seems stupid. Emmett in now way was ready to go to Japan, it makes me sad they kind of abandoned his storyline because no one gets "better" that quickly- it's still a battle. They did need each other to get through both of their assaults, but Travis' offer made it perfect for Bay to stay and continue on with Emmett. I never liked Bay and Travis, honestly, they were so dull to me. It feels like they wrapped it up to leave it for a new season, not a total and complete ending. I had trouble keeping up because of life getting in the way, but I caught up and just finished the finale and I'm so disappointed they didn't have more seasons to continue this beautiful show. I went through ASL classes in college (despite struggling now to remember enough to converse) and always notice signing from afar. ![]() (Constance told me I was cute, I still smile at that memory) I've always loved the show because I could attest to how wonderful these people and their community was and it showed me, I could be a part of it too. I was so excited, and so insanely happy when I met them and they were all so nice and talked and signed with us even though I knew next to nothing.
